Pizza from a Wood-Fired Oven with Gio Di Sarno

Born in Naples, Gio is the fifth generation baker in his family. His family owns a bakery in Pollena Trocchia, where his father and younger brother still work to this day. It was here Gio was taught by his grandmother from an early age.
Graduating at 18 at the cookery academy of Pollena Trocchia, he worked in the family bakery until he was 22 then decided to leave home for Australia where he spent the next 3 years. Australia started a pilgrimage to different countries, living and working always as baker or pizza chef: New Zealand, Sweden, Germany and England.
Now living in England for almost 7 years, Gio still works as a baker, pizza chef and now a teacher too, passing on his knowledge and passion and to others.
During this fun workshop we will master the art of the perfect Neapolitan Pizza. Using top-notch ingredients, we will prepare an Italian feast in the fabulous Earthstone wood-fired oven. Expect to make Pizza frittas, Montanaras and Calzone and more!
There will be refreshments on arrival and throughout the day, which will end with a fabulous lunch of your own making and will include some lovely wine from Liberty Wines!
