Sticky Pickle with Ian Beaird

Ian Beaird, the creator of the award winning Essex based Sticky Pickle Company will be sharing his passion and knowledge for all things pickled and preserved!

Learn to make and take home a jar of each:

Lime Pickle –

limes, an amazing array of herbs and spices including dried curry leaves and green finger chillis. If you love a curry this is an essential pickle. Don’t just stop there though, this works beautifully on strong cheddars too.

Chilli Jam –

Fruity, sweet, flavourful and spicy. Tastes delicious on goats cheese, or for a decedent breakfast or brunch add it to smoked salmon and poached eggs.

Onion Jam –

A versatile classic and a firm favourite.

Pickled Red Cabbage –

In this award winning recipe subtlety of spices compliment the cabbage to create a wonderfully more-ish flavour. This is not the malty cabbage your Granny had on the table at parties instead it has a distinctly fresh flavour all of its own.

Pickled Shallots –

With a Balsamic twist these tasty little morsels are great as an accompaniment to a cheese board or for a different twist cut them up and add to a salad with goats cheese and beetroot.


There will be a prepared lunch, with wine, to accompany the pickles and preserves.
