Why eating less meat is the best thing you can do for the planet in 2020!
Eating meat has a hefty impact on the environment from fuelling climate change to polluting landscapes and waterways. Research has suggested that the biggest way to help the planet is to reduce the amount of meat you are eating especially beef and pork.
This workshop teaches you some delicious and interesting recipes to make this less painless for yourself and for others. Even trying a few of these meat free recipes a week for yourself and for the family can help decrease the amount of meat we eat as a nation.
It is possible to go meat-free for periods of time without alienating friends and family or collapsing from malnutrition so why not give it a go and start the revolution!
Some of the recipes we will be trying:
- Sticky Mango Paneer Skewers
- Cauliflower Cake with Parmesan and Mixed Herbs
- Haloumi and Mushroom Fritters
- Honey Roasted Carrots with Tahini Yoghurt
- Variety of meat free delicious light bites and snacks such as Pistachio and Feta dip with flatbreads and Courgette “Baba Ganoush”
- Halva Ice Cream with crushed peanuts and chocolate sauce.
The idea of this workshop is to try and diversify vegetarian cooking to bring it into mainstream cooking, not only is it delicious it will contribute to the important goal of maintaining a healthier planet for all!
The day will include a fabulous lunch, accompanied with wine and there will be snacks and refreshments available throughout the day.
